FARGO, N.D. – The Force have traded goaltender Matthew Sankner to the Lone Star Brahmas of the North American Hockey League in exchange for cash considerations. Separately, the Force have acquired goaltender Tyler Johnson from the Lincoln Stars for cash considerations and added Sammy Martel off waivers from the Dubuque Fighting Saints.

Martel, who was claimed off waivers from the Dubuque, is in his first USHL season after spending the 2017-18 campaign with the Topeka RoadRunners of the NAHL. He scored 21 points (4 goals, 17 assists) in 34 games with Topeka last season. The 19-year-old has 5 points (5 assists) in 32 games with the Fighting Saints this year and will join the Force immediately. Originally a Force draft pick in the 9th Round of the 2015 USHL Futures Draft, Martel is uncommitted.
