Fargo Force forward William Fällström has committed to play college hockey at Quinnipiac University after his junior hockey career.

Fällström, a Stockholm, Sweden native, is playing his first season with the Force after spending time in the USHL and Swedish SuperElit over the past two seasons. Fällström split 48 games in the USHL from 2015-17 between the Omaha Lancers and the Bloomington Thunder (now the Central Illinois Flying Aces). He scored 15 points (6-9-15) in those two seasons.

The 19-year-old has appeared in all 11 games for Fargo this season, tallying 7 points (1-6-7) in that span. Fällström’s 2017-18 campaign is highlighted so far by a three-point performance in a 6-3 Force win last Saturday at home against the Waterloo Black Hawks.

Fällström will be the second member of his family to play college hockey. His brother, Alexander, played four years at Harvard from 2009-2013 and was drafted by the Minnesota Wild in 2009.

“I grew up watching my brother play in the ECAC and I saw a couple of games when he played against Quinnipiac,” Fällström said. “I really liked the way they played fast-paced hockey, and I loved everything about the school when I went on my visit. The campus is beautiful and the hockey program is fantastic. I can’t wait to carry on the ECAC tradition in our family and become a Bobcat.”

The Force are back in action November 9-10 for a two-game series against the Des Moines Buccaneers. Puck drop is at 7:05 PM. Tickets are available at the Scheels Arena box office Monday through Friday from 10AM-5PM, online 24/7 at or by calling 1-800-745-3000.
