By Force Staff, 12/19/15, 11:15PM CST

Tonight for Make-A-Wish Night, courtesy of Farmers Union Insurance, the Fargo Force and the Sioux City Musketeers set off to a wild aggressive start. The two teams being in the sixth and seventh place in the western conference made out for an evenly matched game. The first period consisted of aggressive play with close calls in front of the net for both Sioux City and Fargo. As tension and intensity built on the ice, the period represented the calm before the storm. Until 18:10 in the first when all the action began. Denis Smirnov was the first to score in tonight’s game assisted by Blake Lizotte and Carson Musser. All of Fargo’s momentum carried on straight into the second period when Zach Yon scored Fargo’s second goal of the game, assisted by Brody Stevens and Blake Lizotte. Only thee minutes later the energy continued on as Jarod Hilderman, assisted by Austin Pooley and Brad Belisle, scored Fargo’s third goal of the game.

As the thrilling, action packed second period carried on, Sioux City finally got their chance. At 8:57 in the second Phil Knies scored Sioux City’s first goal of the game. Just when it seemed as if the game was starting to turn to Sioux City’s favor Jarod Hilderman swooped in and notched his second goal of the game assisted by Jack Adams and Blake Lizotte, making it a 4-1 hockey game. However, the Musketeers answered back as Eeli Tolvanen snagged the second goal for Sioux City at 15:57. But the action wasn’t over there. Nineteen seconds later Brody Stevens took back the game for Fargo scoring the seventh goal of the game and Fargo’s fifth at 16:16 in the second, putting Fargo up 5-2 going into the final period.

The third proved to be just as electrifying as the second as Fargo scored two goals in the first five minutes. The sixth goal was scored by Denis Smirnov assisted by Jack Adams and the seventh was ripped by Shane MacMahan assisted by Austin Pooley and Grant Meyer. Grant Meyer follows Smirnov and MacMahan notching the 8th goal of the game. Earning just their third win at home so far this season, the Force tallied their most goals so far this year conquering the Musketeers by an impressive 8-2 score and outshooting Sioux City 44-27.
