Fargo Force forward Brody Stevens has committed to Western Michigan following his junior hockey career. He is the 14th player on the current roster to commit to play Division 1 hockey. There are currently 5 former Force players at Western including defensemen Taylor Fleming, Chris Dienes and Neal Goff, along with forwards Colton Hargrove and Frederik Tiffels.
“I picked Western because it was the best fit for me as a hockey player”, said Stevens. “It’s a dream to play for [Western Head] Coach, Andy Murray, and he’ll help me get to the next level by being the best player and person I can be. I couldn’t ask for a better school to commit to.”
The forward from Ann Arbor, MI has played in 19 games with the Force thus far in the 2014-15 season, posting 14 points with 8 goals and 6 assists and is currently second on the team in scoring behind forward Mikey Eyssimont (16 points). Stevens has 10 points in the last 10 games alone scoring 7 goals and adding 3 assists in that span.
The Fargo Force have three games left prior to Christmas break at home on Dec. 12 versus Cedar Rapids, on the road Dec. 18 at Sioux City and back home Dec. 19 versus the Sioux Falls Stampede.
