The Force hit the road for three games in the Cornhusker state this weekend starting with a Thursday night tilt against the Lincoln Stars (23-13-3-1; 51pts) at 6:05PM followed by a pair of games against the Omaha Lancers (22-13-3-2; 49pts) starting at 7:05PM on Friday night and 6:05pm on Saturday.

Last time the Force met up with Lincoln they secured 3/4 points at the Ice Box back on December 10th & 11th. Fargo picked up the 4-2 win on Friday Dec. 10th thanks to a stellar 39 save performance from Louden Hogg. Lincoln picked up a 3-2 overtime win the following night with an OT game winner from Joaquim Lemay.

The Stars are 5-2-1-2 in their last 10 games, last weekend they went 2-0-0-1, falling 4-3 in a shootout to Des Moines on Feb. 18 followed by a 5-4 SO win against the Buccs the following night, and ending the weekend in Omaha in a 4-3 win thanks to a goal in the last second of the final frame, again, thanks to Joaquim Lemay.

The Stars are led by forwards, Aiden Thompson (11G-31A; 42pts) and Lucas Wahlin (10G-20A; 30pts) and defensemen, Dalton Norris (16G-18A; 34pts) and Joaquim Lemay (6G-24A; 30pts). Lincoln goaltender Cameron Whitehead is currently ranked 2nd in the league with a 2.57GAA and .914SV%, he went 2-0 in net last weekend.

Omaha is 5-4-0-1 in their last 10 games going 1-2 last weekend with a 3-2 victory over the conference leading Tri-City Storm on Friday, a 1-6 loss to Sioux Falls on Saturday and a 4-3 loss to Lincoln on home ice the following night.

The Lancers are led by forwards Garrett Wright (12G-17A;29pts) Morgan Winters (10G-17A; 27pts) and Jared Wright (10G-16A; 26pts)

After splitting with the Musketeers last weekend, the Force have gone 5-5 in the last 10 games. Topping the point sheet for the Force is Bret Link (15G-19A; 34pts) followed by Cole Knuble (14G-14A; 28pts), Andre Gasseau (13G-12A; 25pts) and Ryan Alexander (11G-10A; 21pts). Force netminder Louden Hogg put up a 34 save performance in last Friday’s 5-4 W over the Musketeers.

Following this weekend’s games the Force are back on home ice for a weekday matchup vs. the Sioux Falls Stampede at 7:05 on Thursday night. It’s Thirsty Thursday, which means all students get $5 tickets at the box office with a student ID and Busch/Bud Light draft beer is 2 for $5 all game long!
