The Force (2-0-0-1) took a 2-0 lead in the first and never looked back, defeating the Sioux City Musketeers (2-2-0-0) 4-3 in the first home game of the season.

A goal from Tyler Rollwagen to start the scoring followed by a hat trick from Andre Gasseau propelled the Force to their second win of the season, first on home ice. Hugo Haas backstopped the Force all 60 minutes putting up 22 saves in his first ever win in net for the Force.

The action started early in the first with penalties dished out to both teams just :36 seconds in. Following the early 4v4 hockey the Force and the Musketeers both saw powerplay opportunities within the first five minutes but neither capitalized. Then at 9:12 Sioux City was charged with their third penalty of the game giving the Force another man advantage. With :13 second remaning on the powerplay Force Captain Tyler Rollwagen redirected in a shot from Mason Langenbrunner for his first goal of the season and the first goal on Force home ice of 2021.

The Force kept their foot on gas with a goal from Andre Gasseau just over 5 minutes later. He fired in a pass from Knuble over the left shoulder of the Musketeers netminder to give the Force a 2-0 lead. The Force outshot their opponents in the first 20-7.

Sioux City answered back early in period two with an unassisted goal from Luke Antonacci at 2:55 making it a 2-1 game. The Force saw far fewer scoring opportunities in the second after having to battle off 3 Musketeer powerplay chances.

The Musketeers began the third with 1:38 remaining on a powerplay opportunity. With 7 seconds left in their man advantage Kirlan Irey sent in a blazing shot from the left circle tying the game at 2-2.

Sioux City found themselves on the powerplay once again four minutes later, but this time it was the Force who capitalized. Once again Knuble and Gasseau had a breakaway opportunity, this time thanks to a tipped puck from Force defenseman Max Smolinski. Knuble drew the Musketeer d-men and passed the puck to Gasseau who ripped it in low-far side for his second goal of the game.

The Force held onto their 3-2 lead until the Musketeers went on another powerplay at 11:45 in the final frame. Irey crashed the net and banged one home for his second PP goal of the game, tying it up once again, this time at 3-3.

After two Sioux City penalties late in the period the Force found themselves in a 3v5 man advantage for :49 seconds. Then, with 1:42 left to play Andre Gasseau called game and completed his hat trick. He sent one in top side thanks to a beautiful Force passing play giving Fargo a 4-3 lead and ultimately the W.

The Force return to Scheels Arena for two games next week. Kicking off the weekend with Whiteout Night on Friday, October 15th followed by Pucks and Paws on Saturday, October 16th. For more info visit and buy your tickets now at!
