Week 16 Preview

By Force Staff, 02/17/21, 3:15PM CST

The first place Fargo Force (19-11-2; 40pts.) take on one of their Western Conference rivals, the Sioux City Musketeers (14-15-1; 29pts.) in a two-game series this Friday Feb. 19 and Saturday Feb. 20 at Scheels Arena.

Friday night will be the fourth faceoff between Fargo and Sioux City, but only second time the two teams have met on Force home ice. In all three matchups this season the Force have either been tied with or trailed the Musketeers by a goal to close out the second period. However, in all three third periods Sioux City has managed to come out on top. The Force will look to end that streak this weekend and put themselves back in the win column.

Tristan Broz (12G-19A-31P) is the current point leader for the Force. He’s on a 6-game point streak, averaging .97 points per game for the season and is ranked 9th in total goals and overall points in the USHL. Aaron Huglen (8G-11A-19P) has been a big factor for the Force since his return to the ice. In just 17 games he’s racked up eight goals and 11 assists. Fresh off a four-point game last Thursday vs. the Lincoln Stars, Huglen is currently averaging over a point a game and will no doubt be a factor in this weekend’s contest. Ryan Siedem (1G-16A-17P) is the current point leader amongst Force defensemen. Followed by Trevor Griebel and Owen Gallatin, who both put up goals for Fargo in last weekend’s games.

Brian Carrabes (11G-13A-24P) is at the top of the point leaderboard for the Musketeers. He heads into the weekend on a four-game point streak but was shut down by Fargo during their last meeting on January 29, coming away with no goals or assists and a -1 plus-minus rating. Chase Bradley (9G-14A-23P) follows close behind with 23 points and will be one to watch his weekend, having scored three of his nine goals against the Fargo Force.
