The first place Fargo Force (18-9-2; 38pts.) are back on home ice this weekend for three games starting off with a rescheduled game vs. the Lincoln Stars (9-13-1; 19pts.) on Thursday Feb 11. That game will be followed by contests on Friday and Saturday vs. the Omaha Lancers (14-14-0; 28pts.)

Thursday night will be the 6th faceoff between Fargo and Lincoln so far this season and the Force currently lead the series 4-1. The last time the two teams met was January 31st where the Force came away with a 3-0 shutout win in Lincoln.

Fargo and Omaha have only met twice so far this year, both times on Lancer home ice. Omaha came away with a 5-1 victory back in November, and the Force took a 3-1 win in early January. The Stars, Lancers, and Force are currently ranked one, two, and three in penalty minutes in the USHL. All three teams have an aggressive style of play that is sure to translate out on the ice this weekend.

Tristan Broz (11G-15A-26P) is the current point leader for the Force, fresh of a 3-goal weekend in Waterloo, Broz has scored the game-winning goal in each of the last 3 Fargo victories. Jeremy Davidson is close behind with (8G-17A-25P) and he’s tied with Force defenseman Ryan Siedem (1G-16A-17P) for the team lead in assists with 17. Force goalie Brennan Boynton had a solid performance in the net last weekend going 2-0-0 with a 1.50GAA, and 44 saves on 47 shots, earning himself USHL Goaltender of the Week honors for the second time this season. The Force are fresh off a 2-game sweep in Waterloo and look to build on their 3-game winning streak this weekend.

Point leaders for the Lincoln Stars include Zach Urdahl (12G-8A-20P), Dominic James (5G-7A-12P) and Jack O’Leary (3G-8A-11P). All three played a role in Fargo’s only loss to the Stars this season, a 4-0 win in Lincoln on Sat. Jan 30.

Ryan Lautenbach (9G-14A-23P) is the current point leader for the Lancers, he leads his team in both goals and assists. Omaha is fresh off two losses, one to Lincoln and the other to Sioux City, so they’ll come into this weekend’s contest looking to gain some traction and put themselves back in the win column.
