Former forward Jonny Brodzinski has signed a one-year, two way contract with the San Jose Sharks.
Brodzinski was drafted by the Los Angeles Kings in the fifth round of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft, 148th overall. He joined the Ontario Kings (Kings’ AHL affiliate) during the 2015-16 season. In the past three seasons, he played in 156 AHL games scoring 56 goals and adding 52 assists and in a total of 54 NHL games with the LA Kings tallying 11 points with six goals and five assists. He was selected to be a part of the AHL All-Star Game during the 2016-17 season. The forward played college hockey at St. Cloud State University for three seasons tallying 112 points in 120 games played, signing early prior to his senior season.
Prior to his professional and collegiate career, the Blaine, MN native played for the Fargo Force back in 2010-11 following his high school season and had his first full rookie season during the 2011-12 year. He scored 10 goals and added 12 assists helping the team to reach the post-season for the fourth consecutive year. He was ninth on the team in scoring.
