FARGO, N.D. – Force players Josh Nodler, Aaron Huglen, Kaden Bohlsen, and Ethan Frisch were each ranked among the top North American skaters eligible for the 2019 NHL Draft in the NHL Central Scouting Service’s final rankings.
The CSS rankings indicate where eligible players might be drafted in the upcoming NHL Draft. Both Nodler (No. 86) and Huglen (No. 90) rank in the top 100 North American skaters eligible to be drafted in June. Bohlsen ranked No. 196 on the list and Frisch came in at No. 217.
Nodler picked up 42 points (17 goals, 25 assists) in 54 games with the Force this year and led all rookies on the team in scoring. The Oak Park, Mich. native is committed to Michigan State.
Huglen netted 6 points (3 goals, 3 assists) in 14 games with the Force at the beginning of the year before rejoining his Roseau Rams for the high school season and scoring 52 points (17 goals, 35 assists) in 24 games. He scored 8 more points (1 goal, 7 assists) in 14 games after rejoining the Force in March. He is committed to Minnesota.
Bohlsen, who was acquired by the Force in a trade with Des Moines in January, makes his first appearance on the list after scoring 19 points (11 goals, 8 assists) in 55 games split between Des Moines and Fargo. The Willmar, Minn. native is committed to Nebraska Omaha.
Frisch, a Moorhead, Minn. native, was acquired in a trade with the Green Bay Gamblers in late February. The defender has 17 points (4 goals, 13 assists) in 57 games this season from the blue line. He is committed to North Dakota.
The Force open their defense of the Clark Cup tonight in Des Moines in the first of a best-of-three series against the Buccaneers. All three games will be played at Buccaneer Arena in Des Moines with puck drop at 7:05 p.m.
