The marketing assistant will be responsible for driving customer engagement and advocacy in support of new business and customer retention and growth. This role works closely with all levels within the organization to drive customer satisfaction and strengthen the affinity of our brand and products. This position requires a good eye for content and an understanding of what fosters engagement with customers. Content includes, print, social, website content, and digital media platforms. The ideal candidate must be able to build a plan around our social strategy and manage development form working with internal stakeholders to understand marketing needs and gathering internal approvals. Responsibilities also include, administration of our social media, content/imagery Fargo Force and Scheels Arena marketing, and management reporting.
The Fargo Force hockey team is currently looking for a self-motivated student or recent graduate looking for experience in the graphic design field. The Fargo Force offers students pursuing a graphic design degree the opportunity to supplement coursework with meaningful, practical experience. As an intern, you will make contributions to the team in a fast paced stimulating environment in the sports industry and will contribute to the creative side of the team by completing specific job tasks pertaining to graphic design. You will interact with multiple co-workers during office hours.
The Special Events and Game Day Operations intern would be responsible in helping all marketing efforts and game day operations of the Fargo Force hockey team for the 2019-20 season. The internship will provide those who desire a career in sports and entertainment with an opportunity to learn the business and event management side of sports while gaining valuable career experience, building a portfolio and enjoying networking opportunities in the process. The events intern is a critical position to the operation of any event held at Scheels Arena. The accurate planning and coordination of these events is crucial to ensuring a promoter or client’s event runs smoothly thus establishing the arena as a venue they will consider utilizing for future events. The events intern will work directly with the Asst. GM to ensure the efficient operation of all events, including Fargo Force games at Scheels Arena. The ideal candidate will possess a strong desire for exposure to multiple facets of operating sporting and entertainment events as well as have a strong commitment to learning.
The successful candidate will learn and be responsible for all aspects of facility building maintenance and ice production operations including building conversion, ice maintenance, flooding, refrigeration plant operation, janitorial and building maintenance duties, scheduling, supervising and training of part time staff, ordering supplies & equipment, and following budgets & costs. This is a hands-on intern management role – actively involved in day-to-day operations. This position is a key member of the facility management team.
