SANFORD CHILDREN’S NIGHT RAISES JUST UNDER $18,000
The Fargo Force announced today that the second annual Sanford Children’s Night raised just under $18,000 on March 2nd. The funds were raised through ticket sales, a specialty jersey auction, and chuck a puck sales.
“Sanford Children’s Night at the Fargo Force was a huge success,” said Sanford Health Foundation’s Development Manager Hillery Mork. “We are grateful for the partnership with the Fargo Force and cannot thank the community enough for their tremendous support of helping sick and injured kids at Sanford Children’s!”
The night’s game featured specialty jerseys that were designed by 13 year old Ella McMullin, a former Sanford Children’s hospital patient. On February 11, 2018, Ella was diagnosed with a Wilm’s Tumor and upon diagnosis it was discovered that the cancer had spread to her lungs. Since diagnosis, Ella has completed a total of 25 weeks of chemotherapy, surgery to remove her left kidney, and radiation to her lungs. All proceeds from the jerseys Ella designed were donated directly back to Sanford Children’s. The jersey auction alone raised just under $16,000.
