Fargo Force, USHL release 2010-2011 schedule
Fri, Jul 30, 2010
The United States Hockey League has released its 2010-2011 schedule. Contrary to rumors, the league decided to go with two conferences, rather than three divisions. The Fargo Force will play in the Western Conference with Des Moines, Dubuque, Lincoln, Omaha, Sioux City, Sioux Falls, and Tri-City. The Eastern Conference is composed of Cedar Rapids, Chicago, Green Bay, Indiana, Muskegon, Team USA, Waterloo, and Youngstown.
Fargo will open their third season as a franchise in Chicago on October 1, 2010. They will play the first four games of the season on the road before opening their home schedule on October 15 against Chicago. The Force will play 30 home games and 30 road games, per usual.
The schedule is set up so each USHL team plays teams closer to them geographically more often. This will allow teams to save money on travel expenses and it will also help intensify some rivalries.
