Former Fargo Force forward Alex Iafallo has signed a two-year entry level contract with the Los Angeles Kings which was announced by the Kings organization today.
Iafallo spent two seasons in Fargo with the Force from 2011-2013 tallying 75 points (37 G, 38 A) in 108 games played. Iafallo spent the last four years at the University of Minnesota-Duluth where he was one of the Bulldogs’ top scorers. During his freshman year in 2013-14, he was named to the NCHC All-Rookie team. Throughout his college career, he played in 152 games for UMD, tallying 121 points with 48 goals and 73 assists.
The New York native amassed a career high in goals (21), assists (30) and points (51) during his senior season at UMD, which helped lead the Bulldogs to a runner-up finish at the 2017 NCAA Frozen Four hockey tournament in Chicago. In April, he was named to the All-Tournament team and the NCHC Tournament MVP following the Frozen Faceoff tournament. Then following the 2016-17 season, Iafallo was named the NCHC Player of the Month for March/April and was also a finalist for NCHC’s player of the year award.
