FORCE WITH TWO CURRENT PLAYERS AND ONE ALUM NAMED TO NHL CSS FINAL RANKINGS

FARGO, ND – The Fargo Force have two current players and one alum on the NHL Central Scouting’s final rankings for 2017 NHL Draft eligible players. Clayton Phillips, Matt Murray and Denis Smirnov have all been named to the final rankings.

Clayton Phillips has been a huge factor for the Force defensemen this season, tallying 20 points, which is the third most points by a defenseman on the Force roster. Phillips is ranked 99th among North American skaters.

Matt Murray set the Force single season record for wins this season with 30, playing in 52 of the 60 regular games. Murray will head into the draft as the 29th ranked North American goalie.

Smirnov, who lead the Force in scoring last season, enjoyed a very successful freshman year at Penn State. Smirnov led the Nittany Lions in scoring with 47 points in 39 games last season and is ranked 167th  among North American skaters on the Final Rankings list.

The 2017 NHL Entry Draft will be held on June 23-24 at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois. The order of the draft has yet to be decided, but the draft lottery will take place on April 29.
